Finally got some wheels for my truck

Well after a year of replacing parts, breaking down, breaking down some more, investing $2000 into new front end components, and putting over 100 hours total into the paint correction, my retired Border Patrol K9 unit Tahoe is one step closer to being finished. I picked up these monsters last weekend. Boss 22's with Falken tires. Next up is finding a good PDR guy because it IS a Border Patrol truck and it was beat to hell and back and has a few minor dents here and there. Also planning on billet grill inserts and wood grain interior kit. Im trying to keep it as classy as possible but its so tempting to go over the top with it  Anyway heres where I am so far with it. This is also a good example of the lasting ability of EX-P. This thing hasnt been detailed or even waxed in over 3 months. When you do this for a living, the last thing you want to do when you get home is detail an SUV lol.

Its definitely crossed my mind, but Im not the only one who drives it and it rides bad enough now with the low pro tires. My wife went from "wow that looks awesome" to  "this thing rides like crap" in the same day. Maybe air bags one day but I really doubt it since I also do some towing and stuff like that. Its just a work truck/grocery getter for now.

Very nice! Keep in mind with airbags that they can actually HELP the ride quality and towing (especially towing, since they let you load-level the vehicle after you put the weight on the hitch).

Very true. With it being 4X4 Im not exactly sure what it would take to drop it anyway. Im not much of a suspension guru. Either way an undertaking like that is a long way down the road. Im still working out the Border Patrol bugs. I thought Id seen it all when it comes to vehicle abuse until I started working on these trucks. They take off roading to a level most will never experience. I knew what I was getting into when I bought this thing, just not to extent of burying thousands into it.

That's amazing work! You've removed all evidence of abuse from that truck.

The white appearance speaks well of EX-P, not to mention your labor involved.

What product do you use to dress the black trim?

The tires are what made me think you might lower it. since it's 4wd I wouldn't lower it. Plus the ride does get a little more rough. After lowering my last truck I decided not to do it with my current one just for that reason plus I can load some weight in the bed and not ride on the bump stops

Thanks for the compliments. I use PB Trim Restorer. That too hasn't been done since May. No real gloss is left but they haven't faded back out to how they used to be.
