Ferrari F430 Matte Wrap by Metropolitan Detail

This customer wanted a completely custom look for his F430. This is what we delivered. A complete color change from Grigio Silverstone to flat black with carbon fiber accents and 3M Window Tint. When we got this car a couple of weeks ago we were determined to perform our installation better than any we have ever seen before. If there was a better way to do our installation, we were going to do it. This included removal of interior door panels, front and rear bumpers, headlights, marker lights, emblems, etc. allowing a perfect "wrap".

Here you see the unassuming car getting washed up.

This was definitely one of the most rewarding projects we have done in a long time. The customer was extremely pleased, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Thomas. The paintwork was only clay barred and cleaned before application of the film. I sprayed Nanoskin Glass Molecule on the film to protect it.

Ladies and gentlemen, that's a wrap! Looks fantastic John! We may be doing an F430 for customer of mine in matte black with shiny black Scud stripes... hope he decides to do it!

Awesome work!

How does that vinyl compare to instant stick vinyl? I did a 30" stripe on my car and was not the most fun thing in the work by myself. I sprayed tons of liquid so it wouldnt stick. The mirrors were impossible to do. The vinyl wouldnt stick and it would turn shiny very quickly with any kind of heat. Mind you, the vinyl I used was $100 for 4' x 50'.

It is certainly not easy, and very time consuming. The 3M 1080 film that we use is the best on the market, and can conform to some crazy curves, but it's also the most expensive film on the market. You definitely get what you pay for.
