FD being discontinued?

I heard a rumor that Final Detail was going to be discontinued, at least in it's current form. They didn't give any indication how it was going to change, can anyone shed any light?



Will the new product be as "value priced" as FD? If not, I probably should stock up now. Anyone know the shelf life of FD?

Not completely discontinued, more so, renamed with a different scent. They spoke about it on Meguiarsonline.com. Shelf life should be significantly long.
 
I like it too. I think it will just be lighter? Maybe the same but not so strong? I dunno... But I wouldn't complain if they made it smell like #34. That stuff smells awesome. :)
 
sometimes i take #34 and spray it in my hands and rub it all over my body and smell it and...er...uh...was i talking out loud? :o
 
Well, just to be safe, I ordered 2 gallons of FD, 1 gallon of Citri-Gel and 1 gallon of Engine Kote since they are all going to be (or maybe that should read "have been") discontinued.



Granted Final Detail is supposed to be repackaged with a lighter scent as "Last Touch", I believe, but no one has indicated that the price would be as good as it currently is, and I kinda like the scent it has today.



Anyway - just got the shipment today - $63.45 shipped for the four gallons, not too bad in my book!

As long as the new version works as well as the old I'll be happy. I am curious about the pricing though, I'd hate to see it go up.



The smell FD has now is ok but it definitely gets overpowering when using it for a long period of time. I use it on my wheels and engine bay and I find when I do these areas of my car the smell gets to me.



Can it be scented like #34 ;)
 
FWIW....according to the customer service rep i spoke to Final Touch has been formulated so it can be mixed 1:1 with water also whereas Final Detail wasnt.....call it a concentrated version mebbe? guess that a question too...

ive been mixing FD 1:1 with reverse osmosis water neway.......oops...
