i offer to detail my friend car today.i never thoght it will look like in the pictureS.:shocked
the big white dots are clear coat failer. the car hasn't been washed for more then month and the water spots has etched the clear coat. my first step was the 3M SMR with CMA yellow pad after 20min and 3 passes it didn't even make the surfece smooth.
so i got the FCRC with the CMA wool pad. i know this is cut throught the clear coat but the problem is their is no clear coat left on the car. after 2 passes it did a decent job but their is still some water spot left.
CONCLUSION :
FCRC+wool pad is pretty abrasive but for a car that has been sitting outside with water spot that has been backed on it for more then 6 month, i think that it has passed the job of pc and it's a rotary job. Any ideas would be helpful.
