currently using DACP and #9 for all my prep work. I also have AIO but i'm using that sparingly. thinking of picking up some power cleaner (step above DACP)

what are you guys using for prep work?

I always used the Megs BSP 80 series polishes and cleaners, but I tried out the 1Z polishes and they are so much easier to use. I really like the PP on the rotary!

I'm a fan of the Menzerna twins. Not the easiest to get the hang of, but I find the results to be consistent and predictable...not to mention excellent.

I like DACP and Menzerna FP. I LOVE AIO but I don't consider it as an abrasive. FP leaves an unbelievably smooth finish but it can't handle the deeper scratches and swirls that plague daily-drivers. Optically, I'm not sure FP improves on DACP, but a quick touch says that FP really buffs to a very fine finish.

ive used both Meguiars 80's series (nothing stronger than DACP) and Poorboys SSR 1 and 2. the SSR's were slightly easier to use, but both gave similar results. i cant wait to try SSR 2.5, its supposed to be like DACP.

Autoglym Bodyshop Polishes:

01B = Finishing Polish (like Menzerna FP)

02B = Ultrafine Renovator (abrasive level of Menzerna IP)

03B = Fine Abrasive (abrasive level of Menzerna PG)

These are the same products as Norton Clear Choice Liquid Abrasives, which have a fan on this forum but can't remember who.
