Thomas on the HD clay it says to spray with HD Touch for clay lubricant. Since the kit doesn't include this, is the HD Free mean to serve the same purpose? BTW great looking package for the fathers day special and definitely a great gift idea. Cant wait to try it all out! Maybe you could post up the order and steps on how you would use all the products in a detail.

joallen001 - free will work fine but it is such an amazing product, I wouldn't waste it to clay with.

I'd wash, with 2 buckets, clay the whole car, use car soap/water mix to clay with.

Dry vehicle, tape trim if it needs it.

Assuming you are using a DA? PC?

To cut: HD UNO, Micro fiber pad (speed 5), or yellow/orange foam speed 5/6 (depending on the paint)

To polish: HD POLISH on a finishing ( I like black) pad speed 5

To protect: HD POXY, blue, red or black pad, speed 4

Wait 30 minutes and wipe off HD POXY.

While POXY is curing, dress tires, wheel wells, and use HD FREE to clean and protect the windows.

Use HD UNO to polish wheels, exhaust.

That will do it.

Wipe off POXY. (you can use HD free to get POXY off just for fun)

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thomas I wont be using a DA or PC. I did get 2 of the HD combo duo pads that you recommended. I also picked up some red foam applicators and a couple of the blue microfiber applicators. Can you apply the poxy right on top of the Polish as well as the Uno? Looking forward to trying out all the products! I picked up plenty of microfiber towels as well. Just need to get me a brush for tires and fender wells and I am ready to go. Seems like I seen some posts of people using wool pads for the Uno. Maybe I should pick one of those up if it will be good for hand application.

Yes you can apply over both, although I have never done that, I always wipe the paint. If you can, please post some pictures of the car. Would love to see it.

Does it really matter what applicator I use for each product since I will be doing everything by hand? I will definately get some pics up. I spent almost 9 hours removing adhesive from the truck. I had it wrapped for business advertisement. The only thing I found to remove it was 3m adhesive remover and kerosene. Then used a plastic blade to scrape it off so it definately needs a good detail. I dont think I will ever wrap a vehicle again :(

I would think the Orange side of the DUO pad would be best for using UNO since you want to get as much cut as possible doing this by hand.

So maybe the orange side for uno, the red side for polish. Then the microfiber for poxy?

when useing mf pads with uno would you prime the pad fully like you would with megs 300?or just 4 or 5 pea drops?
