Fatal Error with B on Black Plastic...Help!

I was using ABC on my car today trying to get rid of some tough water spots (which didn't work BTW). I apparently made a fatal error with the B part. My black plastic door handles are totally white looking now like they have wax residue. What can I do? I know Peanut Butter gets rid of wax residue, but what can I use for this? I would rather stay away from the 'back to black' stuff, I just want them to be black again.

Call AutoInt on Monday. Ask for Ron Ketcham.



I think it says in the instructions that "B" is for painted surfaces only, nothing else. FYI, the ABC system was not designed to remove water spots. It's designed to remove industrial fallout.

I know, but in a previous thread I had posted it was suggested to try it to remove the acid rain spots that I can't seem to get rid of.



I honestly didn't see anything in the instructions about the painted surfaces. I did try to avoid the trim, but on the side of the car the B dripped down over the trim, leaving white run marks on the handles.
 
I called AutoInt this morning. I am left with repainting them as my only option other than replacing them.

I wish I never would have tried the ABC now. I should have been more careful.



BTW - I looked at the directions for the B, it didn't say anything about painted surfaces.
