Fast Help Needed

I have a friend that is about to trade in his old work truck. It's probably never seen wax and has some scratching, etc. He wants to grab something locally to make it look a little better. I told him to get a bottle of NXT, but then I started thinking about it and remembered ColorX.

I've used NXT but haven't used ColorX. Which one will give the easiest/best results for a wash and wax, trade-in situation?

The way I understand it is that ColorX is more of a polish type product that may or may not have protection in it. Maybe more of an AIO type product. That's the route I'd go with.

If it hasn't had any care, best bet would be to use a cleaner/polish then a wax. If oyu have a polisher, you should be alright, if not, gonna take some serious muscle work to clean that baby up.

I'd say polish, glaze with something with plenty of fillers, then wax with NXT or whatever. It should look decent. That's the quick, short-cut route if you don't want to buff out all the scratches.

ColorX will definately give the better results as far as cleaning the paint/swirl reduction, but by itself is not a beauty wax. Using colorX and NXT is actually a pretty good 1-2 punch for OTC products and will leave a very decent looking finish, though it'll cost a bit more buying both products.

I'd buy both, but if he's only going to use one, I'd stick with the ColorX.

This is not something I'm going to be doing. I would do a full clay, polish, etc.

My friend is just looking for something easy to use that will spruce up the paint a bit after a good wash.

Sounds like ColorX will be the better option for him.

very easy to use apply & wipe more than nxt

no time to dry
