Fake Carbon Fiber ?!?!

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well :)

So I have a question about my interior center console.

In one area there is a fake Carbon Fiber, that if not careful can scratch very easily.

I bought my vehicle new just over a year ago and haven't had any problems yet but I know that sometimes accident can happen.

So i'd like to ask those who have experience with interior detailing, what would You do or use to protect this area from potential scratches, nicks, smudges etc…???

The texture looks almost identical to carbon fiber vinyl wraps.

To protect it, I would wrap it in clear bra or just CF vinyl
 
My son installed carbon fiber sheeting in my interior 4 years ago and it's holding up well with no protection. Some is on places that rarely get touched, but some is on the door handles and it does not seem to scratch easily.
