Fading red stitching. Redye?

I am looking for a solution to redye certain sections of red stitching that have faded due to direct exposure to the sun (rear seat tops). The red stitching has slowly faded to a pink/beige color and is progressively getting worse. I can use a red sharpie and get the color somewhat close with a hint of maroon, but of course that isn't the best solution. Any suggestions on how to approach this?

Got to admit, I've never heard of anyone trying to re-dye stitching on upholstery. I think I'd go talk to an upholstery shop and ask if there is a solution.

There is the only 1 good solution - let the best Upholstery shop that has the correct exact color thread resew new thread...

There is a thread about an "easy" fix for this on one of the vette forums.

Guys made it look easy.

I'll pm you the link

Sounds expensive.
This. It is only a small section that is losing color. Particularly the back of the headrest that cannot be seen unless one looks directly from the rear window.

Thanks for the link. I've had luck with a red sharpie on some white thread I turned red for a shiftboot. Color is slightly darker than the stitching of the seats. No issues with fading from UV. I will give the Sharpie Fabric Marker a try.
