Fabric & Upholstry cleaner

I really like Folex as it works well and leaves no residue. Every other product I have used makes the carpet feel kind of sticky unless you rinse afterwards. For really tough stains Castrol Super Clean, diluted properly with water, is excellent as long as you rinse it out.
 
I really like using Oxy Clean in hot/warm water. (basically as described in GSRstillez's (I hope I got that right) thread). It works nicely.



Diluted APC is another good thing to have on hand.



I dont think you can really have One shampoo/clener. Stains and that type of stuff can come from all different sources and different chemicals are required to treat each type of stain. But, if you just want to shampoo your own carpets everyso often and you dont spill anything, You have a lot of options. Oxy clean is one.

I have always followed the dilution chart on the bottle and diluted 1:3 for carpets and 1:8 to get grease or stains off of my interior plastic trim.
 
I was wondering the same thing. I'm torn whether or not to go with an APC or a dedicated carpet/upholstery cleaner. 303 makes an APC that seems to do just about everything.

i use some type of carpet cleanign solution. when that is gone, i think i am going to go with woolite. lots of guys have had luck on here with it. i also use the blu coral dri-clean for a spot remover, or where there are heavily soiled spots :xyxthumbs

If you plan on using woolite on your carpets, then I recommend you test it on one of your mats first. I had a serious excess foaming problem with the woolite imitation I used.

Bill the Zero by Woolite, if thats what you used, isn't an imitation .. its the real meal deal just renamed up here in CanaDUH.

Jess, I used the presidents choice brand. Sold at Loblaws in Ontario. I know that Zero is the real deal. I'll pick up some and test it out.



gav, I used 6:1 water:soap, and had serious foaming issues. Keep in mind, 6:1 is the most popular ratio on the forum. That's why I went with it.
 
i gotcha, i think i use an even more dilluted ratio for when i use the woolite on leather seats. the top of the bucket does get sudsy, but i just remove that with my hand. i love woolite on leather, and then using a conditioner. the seats always come out awesome :xyxthumbs



maybe i'll look into that stuff from top of the line :D

When I use it on leather I use it from a spray bottle .. no sudsing at all.
