I was there - right in Stand H where they go off into the infield (those who made it through). Funny thing was that becasue of a wall, no one in our area saw that Heidfeld flipped-we could just see him go off, then the wall blocked the flip. A big 'Oh shi*' when they played the replayed on the Jumbotron.
Fun race, we watched the first ten laps from Stand H, spent the next 50 laps walking around the inflield and watching from different areas, and then the last ten laps from Tower Terrace. As far as watching the 'race', being there is the worst way to see it-TV is 100 times better. But to stand at the end of the back straight at the 100 foot marker and realize the're still accelerating past you @ 170 mph before they go into a 50 mph right hander is the fun part.
