F-150, Lincoln LS & 68 Mustang Detail (56K warning)

04 RED LARIAT

Obsessive Detailer
Hey guys, it has been forever since I have posted here, but anyway I cleaned a few of my vehicles over the weekend. Here are some pics.

First up the lincoln LS. I have had this car about 2.5 years and had never pulled the wheels to clean the wheel wells and it was past due.

I started by removing the wheels and sprayed on some purple power degreaser then used the steam jeanie pressure washer to remove the dirt.
Then washed the car with meguiars gold soap and air dried. Clayed the whole car with meguiars clay and followed up with some #9 & nxt. I still have to apply a second coat of nxt this evening on it. Dressed the tires and wheel wells with some hyper dressing.

Ok next up is my daily driver. The F150 lariat 4x4.

Same cleanup process as the lincoln, just takes about twice as long.

And last the 1968 Mustang gt/cs california special.

Not much required to clean this one up, as it never gets dirty. Just wash her up with some meguiars gold soap and hit it with some quick detailer.

Sorry for all the pics guys, I worked all weekend on them and thought maybe you all would appreciate the pics.

Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Nice job...this post makes me miss my 2001 Lincoln LS...I had to get rid of it though...it just had too many small problems that costed me big bucks.

Looks great! What did you use in the wheels to get them so clean? I beleive you said 'purple power degreaser' but I was not sure if you meant in your wells. Also where do get some!

I used the purple power on the wells, wheels, and tires.

It is made by "clean-rite" and can be found at the dreaded wal-mart stores.

THAT is cleaning above (below?) and beyond the call. They all look great! I:bow to all the hard work it took to accomplish what you did.

Used the Purple Power stuff and it's somewhat strong, but smells horrible (possibly the worst) and leaves somewhat of a weird look at the end, a definite nono for me. For all that grime wouldn't be bad.
