Extremely Hard Water

Washing my truck lately is a huge pain in my backside. Where I live, I have extremely hard water and it's city water so you wouldn't think it would be. I use double the recommended car wash amount and still almost no suds. With the heat and humidity lately it's been a real race to try to keep my truck wet while washing and also dry it completely before it spots. I can go ahead and tell you that it's impossible.



I'm wondering what's my options here? How's that Mr. Clean auto dry thing? What other options do I have? Mounting a full time filter at the spigot isn't an option. Can you guys help me?
