Can anyone tell me what types of materials that 2002 Subaru WRX sedan, 2007 liberty wagon weathershield and most vehicle top and bottom trims are made of?
I know that there is ABS but I need to know what they are so I know what my product works on and
Attached are some pics. Perhaps someone can give me the answer to each.
Last night I finished up machine burnishing the B pillar, c pillar, side mirror trims, top and bottom plus roof trims with my trim system. The 4 inch pads ended up jet black, absolutely loaded with oxidation and probably a layer of material
I run the first product at 1500 on the rotary as that's the speed needed to restore them.
One of the trims I commonly work on starts out as flat black or brown and is very rough to the touch but the more I machine burnish it, the smoother and more glossy reflective it becomes, eventually it will look like it has been painted and cleared
My wing
(take note of different texture and sound when I rub my hand across the top (polished) and bottom (unpolished side)

Friends 1998 model falcon trims
Fathers Falcon trims (right side polished)
Lancer roof trim
Zetec b pillars
EF Falcon rear tail gate trim (came out flat grey from factory)
It's quite amazing how manufacturers (especially ford) use so many different types of materials on the same car and how some are not UV stable
Thanks
