Exterior Paint Waterspots??

Ok, first I'd like to introduce myself as being new here and this being 1 of my 1st posts. I hope to help others here as well as get some valuable information on detailing. This site is an awesome site and appears to have some great people here.

One thing I've come across is waterspots on the exterior paint. I tried White Distilled Vinegar and it didn't touch it. My 06 Charger has these waterspots and none of my cleaners will touch it. I'm thinking since I mostly do hand detailing that I may have to step up to a machine to get those stubborn waterspots out. Any ideas would be nice. I have tried clay barring and the waterspots still show up. Thanks in advance.

I would would give the vinegar one more try

it will disolve the water spots, but it is slow to do so sometimes

try this: spray some vinager/ water on a microfiber cloth and leave it on the paint for 10 min.

then go take a look at it, if they are gone great.

if not rub the area, respray and leave it go for for 10 more min.

hope this works if not let us know

I've been working on the same problem. Vinegar didn't touch it either. Windex is the only thing that worked by hand. Well Zaino Z-PC also worked, but it's abrasive. I'm looking for a non-abrasive solution. Bought a PC at Lowe's and gonna give that a whirl this week sometime (maybe tonight) on the spots I didn't windex. Was planning on using Menzerna Final Polish II or 3M Swirl Remover (it's black). Please let me know what worked for you.
