Exterior Overhaul on hambone575's 9-5 Aero Wagon (Blk)

Hey guys, hambone575 (Sam) Came up last friday for a total detail on his 9-5 wagon. It was a fun, but hot day, and the outcome was awsome! Sorry for the extreme writeup, I copy and pasted it from SaabCentral.com

The story-

Sam contacted me through Autopia. He had some knowledge of detailing, but not all the products and know how of doing a full restoration. Sam PM'd me and stated that his 9-5 Wagon was in need of some major help. The car came to me in ok condition, and I was very happy with the after result. Sam learned many things throughout the day, and I really enjoyed working with him!

Goal: Fully recondition exterior, full swirl removal, claying, and sealing.

Time: About 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM

The Process:

Paint:

-Foam Gun Rinse since Sam had dawn washed the car beforehand.

-Clay with Meguiar's Overspray Clay with Optimum No Rinse Clay Lube Mix

-Compound with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on the Rotary with a Lake Country Foamed Wool Cutting Pad at 1900RPMS

-Polish with Menzerna PO106FF Final Finish (Done by Sam ) On the Porter Cable 7424 with a White Lake Country Finishing pad at Speed 6

-Wipe down all surfaces with Alch/Water mix

-Seal with Duragloss 105 Total Performance Polish

-Final Wipe down with Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax

Stiff,

Im about 16. Hey, I look at as i'll only get better and better!

I had the metabo set up for 6.5" to 8" duty, the Hitachi set up for spot pad duty, and the Harbor Freight set up for EDGE duty. THe PC is my carpet scrubber 85% of the time. I have too many polishers.

Thanks all!

So did you buy all of them or is your dad a detailer ???

No I have my own company and pay for all my supplies. My dad is in commercial banking and couldnt wash a car to save his life. I'm completely self sufficient.
