Exterior Mouldings

One of my peeves over the years has been how to treat mouldings/cladding on vehicles such as Grand Cherokees,Vibes & Azteks etc. I own a 01 Aztek & my trim was a light gray/white from fading. I use some Rubber Seal auto body products as well as certain detailing supplies from them. My rep called me one day & said he had a new product for exterior trim & in my head thought "Yeah right!" I've tried many products & got streaking, material washing off etc. etc. Anyway I figured what the hell. I ordered some Rubber Seal Moulding Enhancer. Comes in a quart can & Rubber Seal cleaner is recommended by Rubber Seal. My rep said it can be applied with a rag, applicator or brush. I asked if it could be sprayed on & he said yes. I decided to use my Aztek as the guinea pig. I cleaned the mouldings with an APC before I got started. I started with a foam brush & the chemical was too strong & the brush fell apart. I wasn't happy with the flow out anyway. I decided to spray it on. I wrapped it all up & did 1 side at a time as it dries in 15-20 minutes. I sprayed 3 coats on each side & got incredible results. It dries to a very glossy finish. However, I think if less gloss is prefered, the 3rd coat can be skipped. I didn't do the tailgate/hatch so I could see/show the difference. What a huge difference!! I did this a few months ago & it has held up great. I wanted to wait to see how it would hold up before posting this. Several Aztek owners have since asked me what I'm using. I have done several more Azteks for these owner & they are elated. I will also add I have made some good $$$$.
