Exterior Detail: 2007 Toyota Tacoma

My brother purchased a new Tacoma back at the beginning of the month. I just have not had time to get to it and get it protected. Yesterday morning, I had a cancellation so I jumped on it. The outside was all that was going to get done. He's a neat freak like me so I doubt that there was crumb to be seen!

The paint was in great shape. No need for claying and just minor, light surface swirling. I first washed it in my NXT/Dawn mix (4:1) and got off what dirt and bugs that were on it. Next, out came the Cyclo with some EDGE Green Pads. All I used for protection and cleaning was XMT's 360. The roof and even the glass got a coating. Turned out real reflective and wet. Even for silver.

The tires received Armor All Tire Foam and Gel. The wheels also got some 360.

Thanks all!

Nice work, Justin. The paint looks really wet. :)

Thanks bro. I have my Opti-Seal now. I might go over there in the morning and put a layer on it.

What type of applicator is best for applying OS?

Nice truck and great job, hope your brother help out. Always good to see your work at hand!:2thumbs:, also it will look better when you put a couple of coats of opti-seal, it's going to get that wet look that everyone loves! Angelo

great lookin truck justin. man so that 360 is a real go to product for those one steps huh? yup i bet some opti seal would be a great addition to your already fine work.

Looks great, I like that he put some BFG's and the pre-2005 wheels on there, they are the best looking wheels that toyota has made.

The 16" alloys that come with the TRD Off-Road package on the 2005+ Tacos look pretty darn good, IMO. The first thing I noticed were the out of place wheels. They look weird to me, but I've never really cared for that wheel. Only Tacoma owners would notice that sorta thing, though.

The truck looks great, btw! I have nearly the same truck in the same color and you made it look great.

ah, gotta love a dripping wet metallic! and when did you get a cyclo? how do you like it compared to the PC?

I got it back about a month ago. Put it this way, I used the PC once since getting it. That was enough for me to put it back up! The Cyclo is sooooo smooth. So balanced with the EDGE pad system. Tons of cut and covers a huge amount of surface area.

This is the first thing I noticed too, but I disagree about the pre-05 wheels, I think they look out of place and the best designed Toyota wheels I think were the SR5/4runner wheels from 86-95...Though these wheels are nice too.
