Okay, I'm ready to take any bullets from the purists out there.
I've been a loyal AW user since I saw it appear on this board last year....it rocks! Easy on, easy off. However, it seems as though the only way to apply some protection and get the sense that a layer of protection is actually going on the car, is to use something like Klasse SG, or my Mothers Reflections, something that will really adhere. I haven't tried AJT yet, but I liked the description of it's ingredients.
AW is really good, but it applies super thin, and I really wanted something with some consistency to apply.
I got the guts one day to open a bottle of AW, and I squeezed in a couple healthy shots of Klasse SG, thinking that some acrylic-based product would really enhance the depth of AW and possibly provide more protection. 10 vigorous shakes later, I spritzed onto my Honda, began the wipe-in, buff-off process, and was really impressed with the results. The paint did feel silky, like it has some wax/sealant protection with it, and the shine is just as good as AW. Application was simple, though it required a little more buffing (couple swipes more) since there was some SG in it.
All in all, I like it. I mixed up more last night, and after claying the horizontal surfaces I sprayed down the car and buffed it, and it shines like crazy.
Has anyone else done anything like this? Good results, bad, other? :hm
