Experiences with these 2 brand touch ups

Yes I did a search to start.

Has anyone ever used Automotivetouchup.com or Paintscratch.com as far as ordering and using touch up paints? I have given up on the dealers non matching garbage pen. I am just looking for my own personal car.

I keep a really good distance from others on the road sothere are not really any chips aside from 2-3 really random spots(the rear quarter panel and under the drivers handle).

I used Paintscratch.com and threw my money down the drain. Others may have had better luck so it sounds like hit or miss.

The first paint Paintscratch sent wasn't even close to my factory paint. After explaining the problem to Paintscratch, they sent me a second paint sample exactly the same as the first order which of course still didn't match my factory paint.

I went to the dealer for some OEM touch-up and it matched perfectly.

I've learned my lesson and won't order from them again. Maybe you'll have better luck.

I've used paintscratch.com before with unsatisfactory results. Paint color wasn't even close.

FWIW, I'll just get factory/OEM touch up at the dealership from now on. I have had good luck with it matching.

Man I wonder what the problem was with my touch up... It is/was supposed to be a bright white color and when I touched it up it came out almost grayish.. It was a perfectly filled chip too, ready for wetsanding and then just polishing it back.

I cant stand it anymore so I am resanding it down, repriming and retouching it up..

So its fair to assume that everyone is satisfied with the dealership touch up color and overall a miss on these 2 companies?

I hate to generalize to that extent, but I'd try the dealership stuff first.

Note that places like Paintscratch will match/reformulate for you if you go through all the attending hassles.
