Expensive trip to the dealer

I took my car to the dealer for it`s scheduled maintenance. My husband came with me as he wanted to see the redesigned version of my car.

He convinced me to take one for a test drive and look what I came home with!

I have to wait until the expel is installed next week before I can shine her up with some PA. For now, I`m just having fun driving!

sweet ride! you can put cosmicv2 (no primer needed) on top of the xpel and maintain with cosmic spritz or high gloss

The outside is awesome, but that interior is just about perfect. I`d be more excited about detailing the interior vs the exterior on that Audi.

Beautiful car!

Thanks, that`s what I plan on doing this weekend. Putting some Charisma on the leather, not sure yet which product I`m going to use on the dash.

There`s also some alcantara on the door panels. I don`t have any products for that. So I need to research something for my next order.

no joke I was thinking DAMN what a nice interior

She has good taste! I don`t know if you are looking for new or used. If used, my old one is available at the dealer.:) I went with the S5 this time for the seats and other tech. Can`t go wrong with either.

Ellens2 what dealer in Mass? I am in Rochester Ma down near Wareham. She is definitely looking for used. Probably 14 or newer

I always thought brand new leather needed some degasing time or something...beats me tho I don`t even think the "leather" in my SRT is real, lol

Sonax Alcantara Cleaner works wonders

I`ve also used a damp ONR towel to clean my "alcantara" (quotes because its probably some fake knockoff- I mean its a Dodge, haha)

Ellens2- Wow, that sure turned into an interesting service visit, huh?!? I love it that your husband encouraged the test-drive :D That`s one gorgeous car.

Did you get the hang of the shifter OK? Noting that I`m just sooooo, uhm.. old school, I found a quick-into-reverse a little challenging, ended up being the dummy in the crowded parking lot a few times :o I tell myself that the one I was driving (service loaner) might`ve needed adjustment.

Heh heh, I bet the Owner`s Manual is a rather lengthy read!

That is usually the outcome. Test drive and BOOM! NEW RIDE!

Awesome looking ride. Congrats and enjoy. My dad once said "Everyone should experience the feeling at least once in their lifetime, of buying a new car."

Thanks! The shifter definitely has an adjustment period. I get it most times, still keep forgetting there`s a button for park! Too many years of the old way. I`m sure the loaner needed adjustment.:)

Thankfully Audi finally put their manuals on-line which makes it much easier to search.

Huh, now that never even occurred to me! Heh heh, I *am* too old-school for this stuff!

(Gee, I still prefer a *column shifter* in two of my vehicles, simply can`t stand those two any other way, sold the versions with console/floor shifters.)

....still keep forgetting there`s a button for park!

Yeah, I did that too :o But then, at age 42, I once started to get out of an automatic while in Drive because it was my first station wagon without a stick and I simply forgot!
