Expected durability for Zymol Titanium

I appplied Zymol Titanium to my '07 Nissan Murano around 1st-2nd week of May. I had performed wash with CG CWG and clayed full car. It is my daily driver (averaging 500 miles per week) and I live in Chicago, IL. It is garaged at night. During the day it is parked outside, usually in the sun due to location of parking at work. I didn't wash the car since applying Titanium as it has been raining almost every weekend. The Midwest has seen alot of rain during the last month. When washing yesterday, the it didn't bead the way I remember Zymol Vintage, Destiny and Atlantique have beaded. Once the car was washed and dried, the paint didn't feel slick and actually seemed to have still have grime (not visible, just by touch). What have other Autopians got as durability for this product?

This is funny, this product i dont find as durable as Concours. Concours will look the part, bead the part (if not so tightly) for the best part of 11-12 weeks. Pretty much when you hit 10 weeks you notice a drop in looks and i guess the rest goes pretty much after that.



Titanium, the one that gives the impressions its the long term protector wont last more then 8. In my experince anyway, i applied to my daily driver when i had my X5 (about 04). It is the SUV wax right? LOL. Mixed UK conditions it was strong performer for about 6 weeks but then really ended up taking that ussual Zymol death where beading isnt tight but it will sitll form beads and the looks are blunted.



To be honest, i dident think it lasted much longer then Japon x2.

I have used this before. On garaged cars it will last 6-8 weeks and on cars outside 24/7, it only lasts about 4 weeks.
 
Thanks for the replies. The beading I got yesterday was almost exactly as steelwind described: somewhat there, looks like it was trying to bead but fell short. My main reason for purchasing Titantium was the marketing hype of winter salt corrosion and tree sap protection (park close to a tree at work). I guess if it only gives 4-6 weeks, then using it as my winter "go to" product is probably out. I ended applying CG Jetseal yesterday which had previously gave me almost 3 months durability. For the winter, I probably go to my trusted Collenite Parc D'Elegance.
 
did you applyed titanium on top of jet seal? I am about to use jetseal with glasur and was wondering how did they bonded together?
 
Yeah, I really like the look of titianium, I get about 6-8 weeks out of it on my WRX that sits outside 24/7. It doesn't get driven everyday, but it usually only sees ONR washes.
 
I have not applied Titanium over Jetseal. When I noticed Titantium not beading on my last wash and the paint did not feel much Titanium was there, I reached for Jetseal to provide some protection. Knowing its durability now, both from my and other Autopia experience, I can relegate its use properly. I haven't topped carnuba over sealant yet - primarily time issues.
 
It might be me (more than likely) but I didn't notice much difference in the looks department between Collinite 476S and Zymol Titanium. I did notice a big difference in durability between 2 coats of 476S and 2 coats of titanium. 5 months for the 476S and 2.5 months for the Zymol. I finished off my titanium on my fathers cars over the years. He feels the more expensive wax should go with his more expensive cars. Interestingly I have applied Danase Wet Glaze to my car and then 2 layers of 476S and the durability is just about 6 weeks. I guess I should apply 2 layers of 476S first, then the DWG, then another layer of 476S to get my usual durability.
 
I forgot to say the other day, some of those CG's washes with "citrus" are pretty potent. But it seems like it probably isnt the issue here.



We all think that Titanium doesnt really live up to its claims! After testing alot of waxes, if your going Zymol then Concours is a buy, it looks great, it lasts well and lasts a good 12 weeks.

I should have asked about the durability question "before" buying Titanium. I think the tub is 8oz, so I guess it is going to be with me for a long time. You are right that CG CWG can be strong. When I did my wash on the Murano, I used about 1oz to 5 gallons of water which is less concentrate than the directions call for (0.5oz to 2 gallons). It will probably be some time before I buy more wax or sealants as my stock already has: 4oz sample Zymol Vintage, 4oz sample Zymol Atlantique, 4oz sample Zymol Destiny, 8oz Zymol Titanitum, tin Collenite Par D'Elegance, Optima Poli-Seal, Wolfgang Deep Gloss, Menzerna FMJ, and CG Jetseal 109. I got also have CG WMF which probably falls more into glaze than sealant. I have not used either the WMF or Deep Gloss yet.
 
This hobby is no fun unless you get to spend some money on it. So, I'll help you out by taking a few things off your hands. This way you can splurge every now and then on a new "must have" wax.

Yeah, you need to be very careful with them. CG's CW&G is a great soap, but it'll strip your LSP right off if you mix it too strong.
