exp removal

Hi,

I have 4 coats of PB EXP+ on my car at the moment. I have just recieved PB Blue PWC and PB EX. Do I have to use a paint cleaner(sonus paint cleaner/PB PP) to strip the PB EXP+ or could I just use PB PWC as the cleaner to strip the EXP and then start to layer the EX??

Thanks

If you really want to get all the wax off put a little dish soap in a bucket with water and wash your car with it. But I would just polish it with pro polish and then do what ever you want with all your wax.

You should not put a sealant over anything but clean paint. Sealant is supposed to bond with the paint on a molecular level and that bonding is reduced by having the wax in between. You should use Pro Polish and then layer away the sealant.

The first question here would be what is your ultimate goal. Is it looks? or is it durability? The answers you have received above can all be used depending on what you are looking for. If you are looking for looks, then Greg's answer will do the job, just wash, use the PwC and move on to the EX. If you are looking for durability, killerfox is correct, that a sealant will last longer if it can bond directly to the paint without a wax , polymer , or glaze between the surface and the LSP(EX):)
Hope this helps:hippi
