Excited about shirts

Got the bright idea of having some cool shirts printed off for my little business to sell at a car show coming up, and the idea from customers expressing keen interest in this little composition.

Original picture owner was contacted, so don't worry about it.

What do you guys think?

If the phone number is going to actually be printed on there it should be more central to the whole thing. Otherwise, what's the point? People will just glance at the shirt like any other t-shirt unless it really conveys the fact that it is advertising your business. Just my two cents.

I just want it off the side. Its mostly just for the sake of being there. :woot:

not very smart design. If people are going to wear your shirt, why just have a name and a picture? The best advertising you can do is free, word of mouth, or have people wear your shirts around town. I mean they go EVERYWHERE. you might be an old hermit who only washes and waxes cars and goes to the supermarket. But other people go to church, stores you might not want to go into, stores that you have no need to go into, county fairs, OUT OF STATE events (good for you smaller state people). and also, people HATE to be asked questions, and be bothered. if the number is easy to see / remember, they will call it.

Honestly, would you stop a guy on the street just to get a number off of his t-shirt, yet alone for an automobile detailer? Probably not, you would think "yah I could use a good detail on my car/truck" then go home and bust out the yellow pages and then someone else has YOUR business.

in short, I HIGHLY recomend making it more visible and easy to read.

Not only that, but "Sofachrome" font vertical is harsh on the eayes, and if people normally cant read it at first glance, they give up and move on.

Will do, I woke up this morning and said, thats really hard to read. It was like 12:30 when I made this up. :Geezx

um, just an ocd-teacher comment, but did you forget the "i" in "detailing"? Other than that, I think it's actually pretty good. I think a t-shirt is more of a name-recognition media than an informative media. It leaves a name and builds familiarity. How many people would really remember a number off a stranger's t-shirt, regardless of how prominent it was? (unless it's 1-800-I-SUE-BIG, I just can't ever seem to forget that one) The subtle phone number is there for anyone who really wants it.

In a way, I agree with CkretAjint. Your number has to be easy to see and remember. Yours isn't easy to remember, so don't break the flow of the shirt trying to get people to see it.

In the end, if it looks good, it'll get worn and put your name out there. If it looks like a sandwich board, it gets relegated to days when you're mowing the lawn. I think it looks good. Put it on the back of a black T, with a small logo on the left sleeve and it'll look pretty sweet. Don't forget a few small ones for when you sponsor that local peewee hockey team.
