EX-P+ Review with Comparison Pics

e-klasse

It Never Rains in CA??
I tested Poorboys EX-P+ prototype over the weekend, and the results were fantastic. Test car was a silver G35, which had SSR2/EX-P combo done in October. Used that for comparison with this test. Everything done by PC.

COMBO: SSR2/EX-P+

APPLICATION/REMOVAL: Test done on cold, damp night in a heated garage (60 degrees). Not the best conditions for detailing products. EX-P+ applied nicely with finishing pad. The prototype was thicker than EX-P, but still easy to work with. Have not applied by hand, but will soon and don’t expect difficulty. Let it set for 90 minutes, and removed with mega-plush. Used S&W for easy and complete removal.

RESULTS: OUTSTANDING!! The pics are before and afters, using the same combo with EX-P and EX-P+. The difference is easy to see in the pics, and its much more evident to the eye. Lots of depth, clarity, and a dripping wet look.

I know there is still work planned for the formula before it goes to production, but any improvements at this point would be a great product getting even better. EX-P+ is good stuff. I’d like to try it on a dark color, and can’t wait to layer it on the G35. :bigups

Great review especially the before and after shots! The pics speak for themselves. Your review confirms mine too. Steve, hurry up and sell out of EX-P!!!!!!!! :bigups

Damn that sure looks good. I wish I got in on the EX-P+ test. But I did get the bug squash test product!

Thanks for all the great responses!! It rained all day yesterday and most of today, yet the finish is still deeper then I've ever seen it... its just really wet now! :lol

I'm very interested in the new bug remover... please let us know how it works. BSR is a great product to have around. I keep a bottle in the trunk for surprise attacks, etc. ;)

Good job:bigups:bigups. Do update us on the durability please :)
Will do! :bigups The plan is for one more layer of EX-P+, maybe a Nattys topper, then it should be good until spring.

To me it looks night and day!

Amazingly wet :)
My photography is awful... the effect is much stronger in person. As the finish catches and reflects light it shimmers like a pool of water! :drool

I've got to chime in too. As Luv-N-It said, your results validate mine. I thought I had a bling like shine with VM + EX-P x2, but after topping that with EX-P+ the finish noticeably improved.

It is definitely wetter & deeper in appearance. It looks like your reflections are deeper and more crisp as well.

What did you think about the slickness?

Thanks for the review.

When you say that you used S&W for "full removal" do you feel that you needed to? Were you having problems? Do you feel that the S&W could possibly effect the proper curing of sealant?

Yes, overall the depth is better then anything I've tried on the G35. Its almost like a darker, deeper, and much more defined shade of the same color. Slickness was much better then EX-P, on par with something like UPP.

Good questions. The conditions for this test were not great. I did have a little trouble removing EX-P+ but the conditions had to be part of that, which is why I did not mention it in the review. Using S&W made that easier. Besides, what little trouble I did have was nothing compared to the grief I've had with other products in perfect conditions. I'm no expert but I did not see any negative effects from using S&W... maybe Steve or someone with more experience can provide a better answer, and I would be very interested in that.
