Everytime I turn around

Everytime I turn around it seems like someone is talking about a new product that is out, I can't keep up anymore. I was in Carquest today and saw the following. Although I'm sure these are not just released products they've never caught my eye before (maybe new packaging). I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with these so that I might file it away in the event I need something quick over the counter someday.

Relative to the Mother's polish you can get OTC at Pep Boy's, which would you pick?

I have never used these but the mothers power polish is very nice

I agree seems like every other week, there's some new product thats supposed to be the Best ,shows up out of the blue. The manufactor has a great sale line about the years of research that went into perfecting this new product. I think some of these companies chance the color and fragrance of an old product and call it new. I know the technology is always advancing rapidly. But you can believe they also know that we detailers will bite at almost anything We think is better or faster. Which may not always be the case with some of these new products. :doh

If you're in Carquest, you should be looking at the DG products... Seriously, it is hard to keep up. It seems like its best to wait and see what becomes popular-and stays popular-with other people before investing your own time and money on something. It's very unlikely that any of those products are really going to be any better than the tried and true stuff already out there.

They are all just repackaged except the performance finish, I haven't heard of that one. The cleaner wax is pretty good but be sure to do a panel at a time or you won't get it off. The finesse it line is really good too, but I prefer the perfect it(professional line). They are kept behind the counter at my local O'reily's.

The perfromance finish is a synthetic wax (sealant). I've heard good things about it. The cleaner wax works good. It cleans well, but the looks aren't that great. Works good on hard to reach areas as a cleaner. The finesse-it machine polish works nice, although it will create a dust bowl in your shop. The rubbing compund is just a 16 oz bottle of the fine cut, I think. Follow up on that, I may not be correct.

The 3M stuff is great regardless of the OTC stigma.
