Ever run out of water on a customer?

I was working at one my of my office jobs today. Around 4:30 when I was packing up to leave this guy walks up from know where. Hey can you clean my truck too. Sure lol. So he gave me the keys but when I look at my trailer I didnt have much water. I hardly ever say no to money. I got some dri wash for things just like this. Anyway I was just wondering what other people do when they run out of h2o.

I dont know about you, but I carry water for a reason. I can't just pick up any hose and fill up. If your at one site from 9 to 4 and have one car left your basic wash nothing fancy. You have maybe 3 or 4 gallons. I would make it happen and you would leave?

Yes, I would leave and come back if you were dead set on washing a car. I would rather do somthing right then hack somthing together.

Besides my town is only a 5 min drive at most from one end to the other. With out you mentioning the distance or even the town you live in, in your profile or post, I wouldn't have known you can't drive to get water. You were asking me what i would do, so yes i would refill.

QEW only requires 1-2 gals per vehicle. When it gets worse out, different story, but for now, it does the trick. I usually keep a spare gallon in the trunk.

I carry 2-3 gallon jugs of water for my backup, backup. I have run out before and had to fill jugs or buckets out of bathroom sinks. I know before I do the car if I'm going to run out. If a last minute person walks up, I just tell them the truth. Yes I can wash it for you but I need to fetch a pail of water (where is Jill when you need her). Worst case I wash the wheels and lower parts with water and use spray and wash on rest

How much water do you guys bring with you for details? I bought a 7 gallon water tank from walmart with a spicket to dispense the water, only take's me like 2 gal to wash a car, plus I use a 32oz spray bottle with qew/car wash/water to knock the bad spots off on the car and wet the panels before.

For that whole reason I stepped up from a 90 gallon setup to a 225 gallan tank. I figure that is plently enough water for me and my solo operation to wash as many cars as I can poosibly do in a day. I usually can wash about 12-14 cars in a day and have plenty of water.
