Saw some "NASCAR" foam QD today and wondered if it was any good? Also had "window cleaner" in a foam. Anyone tried this? Thoughts? Just curious. :hmmm:

I have. There's lots better OTC stuff you can get. Meg's QD, Eagle One Wet Wipe and Shine, Mother's Showtime in the QD area. Stoners IG in the glass cleaning side.

I just purchased some 3M "rubbing compound" and in the bottom right of the bottle it said NASCAR performance is this what you are talking about? I thought I would give it a shot.

Nope thats not what I got, accually used the "rubbing compound" it worked pretty well. I will be detailing my wife's car this weekend and I'll use this on the whole car and post pics of the results.

The so called NASCAR brand was in our area at least a year or so ago, maybe longer. It seemed to disappear pretty quickly and I haven't seen anything of it in quite some time.
The 3M products I have used have always seemed to be of decent quality. My friend in the body shop swears by a 3M compound that he uses with the rotary. I don't know what one it is, though. He tried Menzerna and went back to the 3M, but I think it was mostly a case of familiarity and availability. I know he stays with a lot of 3M, Meguiar's, and Malco products because of suppliers that see that he has some on hand. Not freebies, but they check his stock and let him know what he is running low on.
