So I wake up this morning to 6 cups of coffee all over the counter tops, dripping down the cabinets and unto the floor, because I didn't get the coffee pot centered just right last nite...:wall
I have a client that about ripped his wiper "ARM" off his Mercedes (back when we had ice in February)
trying to clear windshield of ice.:wall Now the arm is real lose and doesn't make full contact on windshield. No problem I tell him, "I'll get you one ordered and I'll slap it back on for you:bigups"
So I go to the Dealer and pick up a new arm(Wholesale $60:bigups) the Retail on this is $96 He also wants new blade(Wholesale $16 :bigups) the Retail $24...So hey things are looking better I'm up $44 bucks in 30 minutes.Plus I stil have the installation charge $40,so this brings me up to $84 profit for less than an hour of my time/knowledge. And knowing this guy he will just slide me a benjamin...(he always has a stack that would make Jed Clampett Proud)
So I :drive: over to my clients Home and he had left the car outside last night. Well we had Strong Thunderstorms here last nite so the car was soaked (I had to
though, there musta ben 1,000,000 beads :bigups) However when I leaned against the front of car (and no I don't wear a belt buckle so no scratches)my shirt and front side of pants absored more water then a "SHAMWOW" :wall
So I get the old arm off in about 30 seconds. The New one though was alot more snug going on so you have be carefull on 1 hand not to damage the "Motor" on the other hand you have to get semi-barbarack to get this thing to slide unto the place....Finally after about 10 minutes Success:bigups.......But this was short lived :wall after you get the thing into place ther is a set screw that you tighten down to hold the arm unto place, well I got the holes lined up and I comense to tighten it up...I'm almost at the bottom when I here the dreaded SNAP :wall This part of the arm is made of pot metal so I know to be careful. but I was being carefull. Anyway I did a test run with wipers on hi-speed for 5 minutes, turned them off and all looks good so far...I called customer told him what was up, he laughed and said if wiper flys off "I'll call you"...Only problem is "WE" know what kinda damage can be done if a wiper flys off while in use :wall so what to do what to do.

So I :drive:Back to the "Ponderosa", As soon as I walk into house I can here the "Shopvac" Running...I go to explore and it seems the float valve in the M/bedroom bathroom has malfunctioned and water went every where.:wall However my wife was on top of it, she had already shut the water off, thrown about 25 bath towels on it and was begeining to Shopvac the rest.:bigups I told her I was having a bad day and she looked like she had the situation under control:rockon
Anybody else ever have days like this? or is it just
?
