I was looking over my mom's car yesterday seeing how much I will need to do on this weekend when I detail it and I found something I don't know how to handle. She has Xpel clear paint film on her car and on the hood it has some etching from bird crap and other stuff. Is there anything I can use to remove it from the film? The paint on the rest of the car looks really good but the film on the hood looks bad. The car is a dark blue so it really stands out.
I have the same film on my truck and I had a stain on the rocker panel from tar and I was able to get it out with some polish by hand. I wasnt too worried since it was a lower panel but it did lose some of the gloss in that area. Since it was small I never worried about it or worked on it anymore. The hood is large and obvious
