Just like last year.

There is an open house @ ESOTERIC - Fine Auto Finishing just outside of Columbus coming up on Saturday June 2nd (6/2) if anyone is interested. I have attended the past few years. There are usually some cars to see as well as some groups that attend. Obviously since this is detailing related you can buy and watch/try demos they have going on.


Lets get a discussion going ff anyone is going or wants to meet

Its about time something really new hit this industry. I feel like since coatings came on the scene, its been more re-packaging of the same or similar products but nothing totally revolutionary.

Some products are a little better at this or that but nothing I have tried lately is really horrible, and nothing is really worlds apart better. More shades of better. Purchased a Tornador Black to clean nasty trunk shuts and jambs quickly and easily. I hope it works like the video`s.
 
About 7 hours away for me. I bit too far for simply dropping in for an open house, even if they are far 10 hours closer than PBMG.

I`d love to see their operation and attend an event like that.
 
My dad and will be going for sure. I just confirmed.

I am am think we will try and be there around 11’ish since I have around 2hrs to get there.

Alas, Kai`s original flight was cancelled and I had to leave before he was to arrive so no new Kami info. DJ Mayo was manning the Kamikaze table.

Met/talked with Travis from Polish Angel, Jeff from Gyeon (CanCoat is 30%+ SiO2) and asked the Jescar guys just what the deal is with the whole "Jescar is just relabeled Menzerna" fable (it isn`t) and of course all the Esoteric guys were cool as always, nice to put some more names with faces from the vids.

Got s few new ideas percolating in my head (some not even coating-centric), just gotta find some time.

Fun stuff, bunch of nice, helpful folks all around...vendors, participants, sponsors.

When they fired up the Esoteric ZL1 with the exhaust open, the ground nearly shook. Very cool.
 
Looks like a good time. Haven`t seen Todd in a while but we go back. Memorial Tournament and tickets every day. Heading out again today.
 
I didn`t get chance to make it Esoteric, I had a detail to do once I started I decided not to stop and just get it done, had planned on taking 2hr break. Did they have giveaways like last year, see they mentioned discounts on products ?

Giveaways a bit different, not the onsite raffles like last year but 2 laptops set up for info entry, contact winners later by email. Discount was 15% off in the store.

Seemed like way more cars early than last year, got there around 11am and had to search for parking in the industrial park...whole area jammed. Guess the heavy hitters were lined up and waiting prior to 10am. Seemed like, overall, more people/cars than last year, predominately early.
 
On another purely aesthetic note, I asked Gyeon Jeff why Bathe Essence wasn`t a nice, bright color like most Gyeon products; apparently it`s too concentrated to hold any dye in an acceptable fashion.

Very nice nice day and we got there earlier than normal. (Around 10:30).

The quality and amout of cars was excellent. So much to look and and talk about. Got to check out and get in a Tesla modelX.

Spent time talking with Travis @ POLISHANGEL, DJ who was manning the Kamikaze booth and the guys @ Geyon.

The 15% on everything was nice but I did get much although I considered an ibrid kit.



I am sorry I missed everyone. I think next year we should setup a specific meet.
I recognize this picture and realized I was just off to the left watch that GT3 in the back try and pull out as he was so low they had to do a 15-point turn and ultimately move that blue i8 to get him out without scraping.
