Anyone recommend a particular brand for either? Anyone have any fantastic tips on floor and wall preparation prior to painting (i.e. cleaning, primer)? Come spring I think I gonna get after it.

U Coat it is suppoed to be very good. And they are local for me too :D

As far as block paint. What are you doing around this wall? I mean, will you be washing cars or anything? If there will be water around a lot I would go with a thick water proof Drylock sort of paint.

UCoat It....I've read about their product on-line. I definitely be interested in your reviews of the product.

The two car garage has unpainted cinderblock walls and an unsealed slab floor with no drain. With no drain I won't be using a hose to wash the vehicle while in the garage. However, I occasionally hose off the floor. That said, a minimal amount of water touches the walls of the garage.

I would not use the drylock for just that amount of water. I thought maybe you were washing cars and stuff.

Make sure you apint the walls white though. You will love th way white reflects the light when detailing.
