Earlier this year I detailed the engine in my mothers RAV4. She bought the car new in 01 and engine had never been detailed till april or may 06 when I did it. It took an hour and a half to do since i didnt use brushes or anything, i just used a pressure washer once engine was cool to touch(made sure no electrical was sprayed), an MF towel, and some megs dressing(i cant remember which one, ill update later) which was a little greasy but oh well. i dont think i will be using a pressure washer in the future, just seemed a little too harsh but it needed it lol.anyway here are the pics...

MobileJay- Wow, what an improvement! I take it you didn't have much corrosion on the metal parts, huh? Around here everything corrodes if it's left uncleaned for a winter or two..

Accumulator, no down here in Houston our winters are a joke so no corrosion.



qballjr13, I just pressure washed the motor and then dressed EVERYTHING with Megs natural shine vinyl and rubber protectant. I didn't spray anything in the engine compartment before I pressuer washed.
