Electronic signature...?

Been throwing around the idea of using a tablet more as a way of reducing my paper consumption and waste. One thought I have had is to use this to get an electronic signature on the bill, receipt, invoice etc,.. and than email it to the client.

Anyone doing this? If so, what is the best way, or program you have found to obtain and do this?

Found out that another guy over on another forum uses "Pages" on his i pad to create documents, than saves them as a pdf. He than uses an app called "goodnotes" to open it and add signatures.

I will be using an android,.. wondering whats out there for them that will allow the same....

Free program called DocuSign Ink, that allows you to

capture a signature on any file or pdf.

It is a little bulky with permissions, but it works well.

The DocuSign that I mentioned is an android app that

takes little knowledge to use. I am not much of a quickbooks

fan, so I didn't even know that you can capture signatures that way.

Do you plan on having them sign after quoted estimate?

I do this after the service for invoices, however I am seriously

considering having then sign the quotes also. I plan on listing

the areas or portions that won't be serviced, plus listing the damage

prior to my work so that accusations can not be made.

This is not a bad idea. I'm sure that there are business-platform apps that complete this service. They may not be free, but sometimes that is not a bad thing.

I've been using the ipad since it launched, I've saved hundreds$ on paper, but I always keep a very basic receipt book with me (I newer use it) just in case I get older customers that don't have an email address.

The best program for me is Invoice 2 Go. They have come a long way since they came into the industry. They have apps on iphone, ipad, android..

There are 2 versions for iphone and ipad that im aware of... you can sign up and pay a small monthly fee and you get cloud backup with it or you can buy the app for a 1 time fee, and manually back it up as you see fit (super easy), then there are in app purchases that let add on other things like, sign2go, statements2go, receipts2go, calendar2go, scan2go, and maps2go. I have them all except the maps2go & calendar2go, and the only one I don't use is scan2go, it's more for those that have actual products with bar codes.

If you're seriously considering getting away from using paper, this app in my opinion is the best one that allows you send out Invoices, statements, Estimates, Purchase orders, Credit Memo. Only thing they're missing is the ability to process cards within the app, but they do have a function where you can put your paypal email in and when you send it out, it has a paypal button at bottom that your Client/Customer can click on and pay you, and they don't need a paypal account to pay, pretty cool feature for those that have a paypal account

I just signed up for QuickBooks Mobile, and it does a lot of the same stuff, but it doesn't allow signatures (for credit card processing only) but it's quickbooks and you can manage things more seamlessly with bookkeeper/CPA.

I must agree with you.

I have been using invoice 2 go for a while now,

and I love it. It makes things much easier for me.

Oddly enough, the two that I mainly use is maps2go

and the calendar one. The maps is uber useful for someone

going for to door, or any mobile detailer. Remember who you have talked to,

remember what services they like, and keep all records with the customer.

View all sales on a map, so you can see your hot spots.

I would also like to add that you can install on more than one

device. I have mine on 2 androids, but it is the syncing that

is an issue. You can only backup and restore, no sync.
