I recently got a Kärcher 3.47 from Costco:

and have been using the flexible spray wand to hose down the car, remove stubborn bug and bird deposits, etc.. I've taken some personal risks and have gotten as close as 6 inches to the paint at full pressure with the flexible spray wand. I generally try to keep about a foot or two distant to just "strongly blow" water over the car.
However, I recently dropped this flexible wand front-first on the ground so it doesn't seem to create a water pressure as strong as before. Plastic parts, go figure. So today I took a chance and used the rotary wand from a careful distance. I didn't strip any paint, but I have to wonder how much damage am I causing to the clear? LSP I can always re-apply, but clear I can't do much about myself. Has anyone done this themselves, and if so, what were your experiences?
