Can expect nothing but the best from Chip Foose. Would love to meet him and shake his hands, dream of owning a set of his rims.

I was just in his Shop, a couple of weeks ago. That Caddy was still in metal working stages. The amazing engine was done, and as usual, his work is absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also met Sherrie from the "Overhauling" Series there - this gal is amazingly talented. How many of us can say we can take any dashboard and all associated wiring and electronics out, and replace it with new perfectly, customizing it as needed, so that when it's all done, it is another piece of artwork that compliments the Foose design ??? :)

He also had an older Ford Bronco that he was customizing for Keifer Sutherland in there.
They told me that the crunch to get it all done by SEMA was starting.

He uses 3M products and tools in the paintshop for finishing the paint. All awesome tools, mostly all air powered.

Drawings all over the walls, amazing, beautiful interpretations of what the normal cars should look like.

If there would ever be a guy that could bring such incredible, thoughtful, just perfect work (that you do not notice, but you KNOW that something has been done, until you figure it out) to the entire Industry, it would be this amazingly talented, humble, man...

My lucky daughter and her family are so lucky to live just a couple miles if that from his Shop!!!!!!

Just awesome Dan!

The site for the car says built by Boyd, finished by Foose. Is this an older Coddington car that Chip redid, or is Boyds still being building hot rods despite Boyds passing a few years ago?

ahhh... ok, now it all makes sense. I like the Re-do better. Much classier choice of color. The car is more jewelry than it is a car.

That's it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They showed me that color - it turned out fabulous !!!!

If you look at the 2 pics of the other Caddy by Boyd and then the Foose Design under it, you can easily pick out the differences in the 2.

The Boyd design is more "upright" and not as smooth/streamlined as the Foose design.
But that was typical of Boyd Coddington in his day. He had a certain vision and stuck mostly with that particular design parameter, while Chip Foose is more of a "visionary" to me. All of his designs totally rock the original (if he is using an originally, designed vehicle like say, a stock 1948 Cadillac). Amazing work this man does..

I was happy to see Jessi Combs from Xtreme 4x4 and Mythbusters on the new Overhaulin show. I think she is a talented girl and role model, I tried to get my own daughters interested but they took after their mother - girlie girls!
I'm sure that Jessi's time with the master - Chip Foose, will be better than Phd anywhere else. Unlike a few shows I've seen, Overhaulin makes amazing rides without crazy bizillion watt stereos and 14 TV monitors, in other words, cars that you can drive without worrying about breaking 20K in electronics.
BTW - that last show where they overhauled a 65 Impala for that young marine had this old grunt a little watery eyed too.

I saw a "65 Impala in bare metal in Chip Foose's shop when I was there recently. It was going to look like no other '65 Impala ever looked, but dreamed of becoming!!! :)

Yeah, I have not had time to watch TV in about a month now, and only caught an episode of O'Hauling with the new gal. It is nice to have another gal there that knows cars and knows how to work, vs the other 2 girly-girls that had on the show..
