Einszett (1Z) Glanz wax question

Is 1Z Glanz wax a polymer protectant formulation? The website does not state what type it is.

If polymer:

Do users layer this product? 24 cure period?

TIA

Thanks gt1today for the wonderful presents (complete line of Einszett polishes, waxes and wash). :bow

I am told you can not layer it. I have it and used it on my Red car and am not excited. I will not repurchase it. It does go on easy and comes off just as easy.

The blurb on the UK retailers site, doesnt say it wont layer but does say.

"Waxing can be done at a more frequent rate although for a daily driver, Glanz Wax is durable enough to last up to 6 months. Again, many factors effect how often you will need to wax your car. For instance, depending upon your local climate, whether conditions, etc, you may need to wax your car's paintwork more often or less often.

One concern that is unfounded is that it is possible to put too much wax on your car. There is no harm in waxing your car every month or two if you choose. However, applying multiple coats of wax at one application (also known as "layering") has no additional benefits. In this case, more is not necessarily better. One coat of wax is more then sufficient."

Im with you there. I bought some 1z, tried it on my vehicles and it hasnt been used since. It just doesnt excite me. It doesnt look that great and I really dont see the durability they claim to have.

I see that we have the same supplier for our 1Z products. Thanks gt1today :up

I have read that you can not layer GW and that it is a wax and a sealant. I currently have it on part of my white expedition and really like the look. Very sharp and clear. It goes on very easy and comes of very easy. It does flash very fast though. This past weekend I hit a nice patch of very fresh tar  The tar on the GW came off with soap and water and very little rubbing, the rest of the tar came off with lots of elbow grease. Let us know how you like it.

Funny Sully, the panel I tested was on my whiteEscalade. :D

Yes, it was over Zaino but I just want to see what it looks like. Definitely a very easy product to apply and buff.

I must say that it looks really good. The true test will be on bare panel (no Zaino base) in order to analysize fairly.

Thats too funny. I also used MP and PP to prep prior to using GW so I don't know how much using the whole system helped the GW but it did look good. I had SG on my Expedition before the GW. Very funny indeed. :)

If I'm know I'm going to be lazy over the next couple of waxings, I'll use GW on the bottom half of the car so I can neglect it during the next wax. Even on my dark maroon, the finish is very clear and extremely durable.

Try using a tiny spray bottle to apply evenly to an applicator. I've never had any problems with this method, and you can knock out an entire car in less than 10 minutes. Apply all around, then remove all around.

It does flash very quickly, but I've had it set up to an hour and it comes off as easily and streak free (even on black) as S100 or PS.

I'm a fan.

I really like GW on metallics and light colors. Not real good depth on dark colors but it still looks pretty shiny. Durability is real good, at nearly 4 months, it is still going strong on an LS430 I regularly wash.

I agree with the others on the layering aspect, I think the PD content it too high to allow that. However, one layer gives pretty decent protection.

I got it straight from 1Z Germany; Glanz IS indeed a polymer formula, but it also contains several "natural" waxes (though which ones I wasn't told).

The solvents in it are designed to remove any wax already on the paint (though it won't "clean" the paint); that's why it cannot be layered.

Enjoy! I think it's good stuff.:xyxthumbs
