It's been some time since I last posted on my eventful experience with the Edge2K system. This post is a review of the system with the new shorten adaptor with locking pin.
The new adaptor is just long enough to "float" the DA pad away from the PC. From a vibration perspective, I believe that the shorten adaptor attenuates it much more. At speed 4, the vibration is bearable, but at speed 6, the vibration is very acceptable to me. This is much better than the original longer adaptor.
On the reliability side of things, the new fixes (loctite + locking pin?) is working out way much better now. I have used the pads+adaptor in the usual way on my car and there is no adaptor failure. Adaptor is holding up great!
In conclusion, I believe Aaron have put in a great deal of effort to resolve the problems on the DA adaptors. His attention to details on the customer service side of things, is the best that I have seen! Great job, Aaron, keep it up! I had originally decided to move on to another brand of pads, but now with the improvements made and fixes done, I am sticking to the Edge2K DA system.
