Edge 2000 conversion for the Flex

Well it certainly shows that it can be changed quite quickly. Is that a plus?

I do like some of the smaller pads though. It would be good for hard to get areas and intensive spot correcting.

Sweet! i just ordered a Flex with a few pads from another vendor I found that had them in stock, but I was really bummed out that the Edge system wouldn't work. Even Autogeek listed it as one of their gripes. This is great news though!! I don't like using velcro backing plates because of the risk they present to spoilers and hood scoops and things like that. With as awkward as the FLEX could prove to be anyway, I was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with that extra risk for long. I can't wait to get one on the FLEX!

It sure looks like it is easy to switch pads. And like CWCAD said I like those small pads. I had a PC, it was stolen, I replaced it with a UDM. Since I only detail my own cars and sometimes a family members the UDM does not get used much. I'd have a hard time justifying a Flex, but it sure looks tempting!

I definitely want to get this adapter now. My backing plate started melting on the first use. It is a picky little sucker... Effective as all get out, but give me my edge pads any day of the week. I love those suckers! That adapter is worth its weight in gold to me I think... Any word on when and where I can get one?

I have not had the backing plate failure...but thats one of its faults, being made the way it is, limiting you to one backing plate...

I hope the edge adapter comes out soon myself...

I sent Aaron an email asking for an update on when he was thinking they would be out. I've been a loyal Edge supporter and proponent for years and years and I'm dying to be able to use the pads on my Flex. We'll see what he says about them. If they are far enough along in R&D to be able to put a video up on YouTube, then surely they are close to production by now.
