ebay: Gilmour Foam Gun

tempted ...

Road good looking out...

by the way have you purchased one and received it and works

It is tempting, although it does not have the sliding 5 position brass adjustment. I wonder how the 4oz / gallon setting works on this one....

I confirmed with the seller, it does not have the 5 position adjustment.

This is the model number of the one on E-bay:

75QGF - Quart Foam Gun w/standard 4 oz. per gal. single ratio dial

as seen at:

Does anyone have the Non - Adjustable unit? Does it still work Ok? I like the idea of being able to adjust the foam ratio....

Your thoughts?

I just received mine and, while it does work OK, the unit came with newspaper packing that's dated 1985!!!!!!!!

Who knows, maybe the quality was better back then. :nixweiss

This is my first foam gun so I don't have anything else to base my opinion. The unit works fine and seems solidlly built.

I bought one for my father-in-law (without realizing the non-adjustability) and after reading your post, I confirmed on the documentation that came with my gun (adjustable version) that 4oz/gal ratio is the middle setting.

I'll just train him to use a little greater concentration of soap than I normally use, since I leave my gun on the next hole larger than the middle ratio.

even without the adjustability, it still works well. Just start with a high concentration of soap in the reservoir, and dilute that part was you need. Most of the time you don't need to go to the higher concentrations because you waste too much soap

I used it the other day. It works well, as I used the same amount of concentration as I would to do a normal wash (irrespective that it has only one setting). The unit is solidly built and the mechanisms work well.

The question I have is what amount/how do you guys determine how much soap to put in? ounces? If we need more, due to the one setting, how much more? I try to put always on the less side so not to remove any wax when washing. Thanks.
