"Early Labor Day" special at Detailed Image

10% off and free shipping on orders over $50

That's the new special at Detailed Image, today through Wednesday. It's easy enough to find 10% off coupons, but free shipping is better, and DI doesn't allow us to stack. So this is pretty good!

That promo arrived just in time. I was all set to order a gallon of CG's CW&C on the DI daily special and added a gallon of MicroRestore. Gotta look for free shipping when ordering gallons of stuff as they're kinda pricey to ship.

very nice :up i wish more vendors would have sales/specials more often like DI...

This is a nice deal as you only have to spend $50 to get the free shipping, and still get 10% off on top of that.

I just wonder though: if this is their "early" Labor Day sale, what will their regular Labor Day sale be?!?!?

I almost did the same, but missed the boat on the CW&C. How do you like it compared to CW&G?

I had a roughly $125 order that wouldn't go through with the coupon code, several minutes before their 12:00 EST cut-off. I kept trying right through the cut-off to no avail. Seems the clock on their servers differs from my own by a decent margin.

Sent them a email/message with the info and order. I hope they'll figure out how to let me complete the order, when they get in tomorrow morning. Fantastic deal!

The exact same thing happened to me several months back during one of their sales. It turned out that their website sometimes has a problem if you are using a Mac. I emailed them about the issue, and they honored the sale price.

Although CW&G at regular maintenance wash dilution generates more suds, CW&C just seems to clean better and you use less product. Hard to describe but CW&C just seems to be a cleaner clean. Both leave a clean, shiney finish and have excellent lubricity. CW&G appears to leave a little something behind, probably due to the gloss enhancers. CW&G was my fave shampoo until I tried CW&C. Plus CW&C doesn't clog up my gallon pump like CW&G does.

DI is my number 1 place to purchase detailing items from, going back to late last year. Great service and prices are hard to beat.

def def..I mean if Autogeeks had 10% AND free shipping (ago for free shipping autopia for 10% but can only use one) i think it'd be a contender ...and i had a bad experience with the autopia store so...

DI my new fav =] man I almost disregarded the sale as most often sales have terrible products that i wouldn't use if i was paid to...but surprisingly I'm super satisfied :)

DI is competative and has excellent, personalized service on the few occasions I've needed it although their selection isn't as wide and varied as some. The absolute best part of doing business with DI is they use FedEx Ground to ship instead of those slow-assed laggards in the brown truck.

UPS dropped off a gallon of Final Inspection today. The box was clearly marked "Fragile" with multiple placards indicating "THIS SIDE UP" with large arrows in bright RED. I found the box upside down on my porch. I now own 1/2 gallon of Final Inspection as the product leaked out around the cap. Plus the usual gravel in my lawn from the UPS cretins hauling *** in and out of my driveway. What a bunch of maroons!

L O L welll i mean i don't mind the UPS but the fact that DI I have FREE next day delivery (I live in NYC) was a HUGE boner for me.. I mean...winner xD

...now to figure out a way to intercept the package before my house realizes (plan is to gun it to the garage before he gets to the door xD)

Yeah, they got back with me this morning, and they are going to honor the sale terms for me on my order. Great news and great customer service. I've ordered from DI before and found the experience to be solid.

As for Autogeek: not a fan. Something about multiple websites with different names selling basically the same thing, heavy pushing of re-labeled, unremarkable house brands, and lack of competitive pricing make me less than interested. When you have smaller, respectable firms like DI (and several others), why deal with the 1000 lb gorilla? Anybody remember when they picked up the Finish Kare line and quickly priced the popular FK425 gallon at $10-$15 over what people had been paying at other retailers before? Everyone called their bluff, and members were not posting the nicest of things, so the price on their site suddenly went from $40 to a permanent $30 "sale price." That about did it for me.

Oh well, they do have Mike Phillips, which is quite the arrow to have in your quiver.
