Eagle One Wax As You Dry

Anyone got any feelings about Eagle One's Wax as you Dry?

I've used it before and think its a good product that gives good results.

Anyone have any idea what is in it?

I havn't used it but I doubt it works well. How can a product that you simply spray on while drying work as good as other waxes that you apply thin even coats with? Seems like a good product to market to the lazy pepboys customers but not to true enthusiasts.

HeartsRunDry has has a strong opinion about this product , hope he sees this and posts here. He finds it very over rated , i havent used it yet but ill try it soon and post my opinion in it soon.

I thought it gave a nice pop to an already treated car. Very nice for in between treatments.

It's interesting to hear all sides. This is one product that I have not heard much about in these forums.

It seemed to do what I expected. Made the car easy to dry with no streaks and left the paint shiny.
Of course my car is usually easy to dry and is usually shiny after it is washed.
:dunno
Whether the product is worth having, I can't truly say.
FWIW, after I finished the one bottle, I didn't replace it.

I use this stuff frequently and find it to be a great in between details product. There are a lot of discussions going on about this product on some of the other detailing boards. Most of the reviews that I have seen concerning the product have been favorable.

Here's one of the links.

Great post. Very recent too. It sounds like the concensus is pretty much in favor of the stuff. I've had nothing but positive experiences. I'm just wondering what's in it.

I've looked, can't find an MSDS sheet on it. All the container says is: special blend of water-reactive polymers & waxes. I've seen some debate as to whether this should be used while drying your vehcile only or as a quick detailer. Eagle One's site recommends using the product both ways. I use it while drying my vehicle and haven't tried it as a quick detailer. I love Final Detail (though it's going away, bought 3 gallons while I could) as my quick detailer of choice and don't have a great cause to switch. I'm sure I'll give it a try at some point.

TheSopranos16 is right, this is no replacement for a quality detail but I do recommend it for the times in between details. It leaves a pretty slick finish.

The stuff's not bad at all. Nice for that wash before a long highway trip for a bit of extra protection against the elements or to give a fading wax an extra week or so if you can't attend to it properly. I think it has a place in the arsenal. Not a big place, but a place nevertheless.

Excellent product, and not meant as anything other than an inbetween protectant. I use it as a QD also...Always keep it on my shelf....

It really isn't that bad of a product. I had to try it out, simply because I wanted to see if the claim was legit. As stated before, it's good for a maintenance, but don't expect a lot of durability out of it. I would compare it to a lower grade Poorboy's QD+. WAYD is a lot more milkier, but along the same lines.

Tassadar--
That is a good service to add to a wash only. However, I'd like to make a suggestion. Start using Meg's Final Detail. Not only is it less expensive, it does provide a greater shine, and wipes off easier. I spray it on there as I am drying with a WW Microfiber. As for durability, you might use WAYD since it will last a few days longer, not sure :dunno Just a suggestion though

WAUD is ok... It looks a little bit better than a just washed car. it probobly doesent leave alot of protection....but what can i say, it comes out of a spray bottle, its not going to look as if you just spent a hour waxing your car then buffing it.

Has anyone tried WAUD on a dry surface? How are the results vs. a wet surface. Does it do an equally good job whether it is wet or dry?

wax as u dry is an awesome product to use inbetwen waxes. it leaves plenty of protection behind to hold out a week or two, and thats more than enough for me since i wash 1-2 times a week. with saying that i must say i favor the look a lot on my black car but on my dads silver car it doesnt do it for me... takes away from the metallic.

my mother in law (practically) never waxes her izuzu rodeo. everytime she washes it, she simply uses this and her paint after a wash looks very very good compared to the stage it would be in w/o it. during the heavy hurricanes her car beaded for about 10 days straight on heavy falling rains from before and after the hurricanes.

would i sue this as a stand alone product? NO

do i recommend it to anyone who wants to maintain and prolong the life of an existing wax? HELL YEA!

dont knock it if u havent tried it is all i can say. a lot of waxes are in spray formula now and are just as good or even better than other paste versions.

I agree with Joy. I feel that not only am I adding protection (even if slight) it gives me some lubricity when drying. I feel more comfortable having the WAUD a little buffer between my paint and a WW. Just something I like about it!

the lubricity while drying saves u tons of time polishing in the future. which is why i like to use a qd (if im not using waud at the time) while drying. i will still go on and qd like normal afterward, but the satisfaction of knowing its safer that way than w/out keeps me using waud and qd for drying.
