Eagle Edgeless vs Gold Plush

I have never used the Eagle Edgeless, but really like the gold plush. I'm thinking of offering 4 quality microfibers and a 24 oz bottle of Meg's last touch to customers for about 35-40. I just need to know if the Eagles are better. They are both about 3.50 per towel when you buy 100. When there's a sale at Autogeek the gold plushes go down even more. I just want opinions comparing the 2, and your thoughts on offering quality(non Walmart/Costco plush microfibers) and detailed spray to customers who won't buy online. Thank you

As soon as I tried eagle edgeless, my gold plushes got relegated to jams and lower portions of cars.

What makes you say that? Some of my interweb research has turned up some listing issues with the Eagles. A problem I have never had with the gold plushes.

They are just so much softer, and in my eyes out perform almost every other towel I have. I use them for waxes, polishes, rinseless, waterless and qd/spray waxes even glass cleaner. I will say I've never tried microfiber madness but I couldn't justify the price. What were some of the negative things you heard? I've had mine for a few years and won't hesitate to buy more when the time comes.

I can honestly say I've never had a lint problem with them. Before washing after washing, now if you snag one it will leave the fibers that get pulled off but that is with any deep pile towel.

I use them as one of my main towels, I believe there is another retailer that sells the same towel much cheaper

I understand that and if they listed on me I wouldn't rave about them this way. I'm sure they may have a bad rag or two every once in a while but I have 125 orange and 125 blue and haven't had one lint yet.

I have both towels and I will go to grab my Eagle Edgless before the Cobras any day of the week. They are by far the best towel for the money and mine have never had linting issues. I would also say they are close to being on par with my Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile towel. The only difference is the nap on the Crazy Pile is a little bit longer.

Eagle edgeless all the way, gold plush aren't even in the same category. The ONLY towels that compete with eagles are microfiber madness crazy pile and autoalities Fluffy pile edgeless 450 gsm (Which are sold out). I have all 3 and eagles are the best towel for the dollar hands down.

Question is whether your customers will even appreciate the higher cost towel over Gold Plush, which is a great value. My Eagles lint on glass or dry grabby paint that hasn't been waxed. I'd be surprised if anybody else's Eagles don't lint on glass.

I had this exact issue in the past...but with my car club buddies..they just don't want to buy expensive towels and seem to think auto zone/walmart is a good source of towels...so I ordered some from Rob at towel pros (the blue shaggy ones and the blue with red border) --they're quite affordable for the quality.....I was able to offer a kit with 6 towels, some RW concentrate and 2oz of 3d Towel Kleen all inside a big bag....
I sold out (all 8 kits) the first night I offered them to the club.

Now, they're not the BEST towels you can get,,the edgeless blue ones - some have bad cuts on the end so I just showed everyone how to fold the towel up (I think Mike P talks about this) to keep the edge from touching the paint

BUT they have also NEVER scratched my metallic black paint on my SRT and I've used them for several months on there.

Ultimately ,, I personally would prefer a cobra (gold, plus, or ultra plush) over the towels I got for my club friends , but compared to what they were using ,,these towels are a much needed upgrade

Just remember, not everyone sees things the same way as we do...

to your OP- I have never tried the eagle's ... huge fan of the gold plush though

Good luck on the towels-- I find it hard to sell even the cheap towels I found to my customers, most of them don't even wipe down their windows themselves, lol
