Dye comes off red and black two tone leather steering wheel.

I have a Mazda RX8 with red and black two tone leather interior. Lately I've been noticing that whenever I clean the red leather section of the steering wheel, the dye seems to come off onto my microfiber towel. Even when I am VERY gentle with the MF towel that is damped with water, I notice some dye coming off onto the towel.



Is there a way to prevent this? Should I just leave my steering wheel greasy and dirty? :(
 
The coating has been damaged. Go gentle with a wet towel. Don't use a cleaner until you have thoroughly got it rinsed out with just a towel.
