Duragloss SMR 671 and 281 for tires

So since the recent duragloss prodcuts I purchased have been good I decided to go visit my local carquest and pick up some more products, I decided to try their SMR671.

Is it me or does this prodcut tend to smear? I tried to apply it via pc and it was a mess, I had to go over it FPII to clean it up. Is this prodcut only suppsed to be applied by hand?

Now onto the Tire dressing 281, I didnt get the "wetlook" that was described on the package, and the spray bottle did not want to function properly. I had set on "spray" and it wouldnt make a difference, either spray or stream setting, same amt of liquid was comming out.

Has anyone else experinced this?

Thanks

I have never had any of the problems you described....

The SMR was easy working...but a little tuff wiping off...but came off no problem...never smeared...it can be worked by PC or hand...

One thing I will mention..some places like carquest will have old stock....I mean old....I got some 111 polish for a friend last spring...and it did not look right....called Duragloss...and they told me the product is very old..

This may be your case....some places just do not turn over the product like other products they carry....

I think the sprayers they have are one of the best sprayers you get for a OTC product...

QFT.

The carquest near me has very little turnover on everything but Aquawax. They have cans of wax that are rusting. Their duragloss polishes have quite a bit of dust over them and the packaging is faded. I don't buy anything but the Aquawax there.

Exactly my point....since duragloss is not known much to the Average person..they will grab Meg's...Turtle Wax..most known names..so the DG sits there..also in the warehouse....so I just order from the Factory..I am guaranteed fresh products..not some stuff that came over with the Mayflower...

I have seen bottles and boxes of DG that were faded...and dusty...

the 105 should be safe in stores..as it is a newer product..

Well I just got off the phone with Duragloss and after speaking to their representative, he said that something doenst seem right with the 671 that I have, so they are gonna send me a new bottle of 671 and I will mail my old bottle back to duragloss. While was on the phone I went ahead and ordered a bottle of 105 as well.

I was very pleased with their service, I highly reccomend them to everyone from now on.

I am glad it worked out for you....they have great customer service....best to order from Duragloss..to ensure freshness.....any product for my paint will come from the factory....lesson learned...when I ordered #111 for a friend from Napa..stuff was as old and spoiled....

Hope you enjoy the 105....

Im glad it worked out too, for a second there I thought I was stuck with a bad batch, I also returned the 281 for tires since the nozzle was messed up, carquest was cool about it. Is it me, or does 111 smell ALOT like zaino.

smells just like zaino some say....the old z2....

but glad you got everything squared away..you will like the 105....super slick..and deep and wet looking.....no more than 3 coats....or your wasting product....and maintain with AW....you will be happy ...

I think I may have ended up with an old bottle of 111 from autozone - but what difference does it really make? My car looks super wet and shiny.

I didnt even know autozone sold duragloss....oh well its their loss if they stopped selling it.

The 111 is a very good sealant...lasted all winter for me last year..and a great wet deep gloss....the 105 is the newer product...if it worked for you..it is ok....if it was green and creamy then it was fine...

if it was watery and curdled then it was bad....when i first used 111 ..I thought the look was great..nice gloss..wet ..and deep looking..and it proved to be very durable...

2-3 coats of 111 and AW and you will be happy

Did not know Autozone carried DG....they must have discontinued it...
