So I am out of S&W but have some on order - on a whim I picked up this product from my local carparts store -

NO. 921 FAST CLEAN AND SHINE
Formulated to clean dust and light soil from painted surfaces without scratching. Bonds with existing polish to extend the gloss and durability.

It was < 6 bucks so I figured what the heck...

I'm Impressed! The product itself has a coconut/bananna/tropical smell - very pleasing. I sprayed some on the hood and used my Mullet Wax Awesome Polishing cloth, it spread easy (it's a clear watery solution), then flipped the cloth and wiped. Man - Slick and glossy! ..and fast! I think I did the whole car in 10 minutes and really put the shine on it.(Car has SSR2 - PwC and two coats of EX). I'm not sure about all the bonding stuff they claim but it really really worked well!

There were not much in the way of instruction but it's pretty straight forward - spray, wipe on, wipe off...

The company is out of Burlington NC (close to here - Raleigh) and they have a whole line of products (you can check em out at www.duragloss.com) - I'm curious if anyone else has used any of them?

Yeah as a matter of fact i used some of there polish and cleaner before had a small amount of road tar on the car and with a little elbo grease it took it right of and then top off with some Megs gold class had pretty good shine........ Works for me!!!!

call me curious

Soooo.... I dropped by the autoparts store again and got their No111 Clear Coat Polish - basically a sealant - it came with a free sample of their pre polish conditioner (to clean off the old and help the Duragloss adhear)..

went like this -

Applied the pre polish as instructed with my PC on 3 and Edge DA Blue pad - (their instruction say to apply and leave on then apply CCP..hmm.)

Then swithced to Meg's Soft Buff and read the instruction for CCP (basically apply/wait for haze/remove). There was a line in there about streaking so I thought ...uh oh..but I braved it anyway.

It's a light blue color (PB?? did they steal your trade mark color? :lol) and has a minty smell. It goes on easy and is almost translucent..I had to lean to make sure I was getting coverage but sure enough I saw the pad marks.

I didn't take more than 2-3 oz before I didn't have to apply any more the the pad and did the rest of the car. So I waited and did my interior - PB Natural look (gawd I love that stuff in the interior). about 30 mins later I started to remove it- Wiped right off and slick - about the same as EX not as slick as UPP - yet... :)

It was pretty impressive once I had it all removed and then I remembered on the SLC it said to use it after you use the CCP for the ultimate in gloss. So I did - very very light application (same as before but barley misted).

Well..for 6.95 it came out really really great!! I'm impressed - really really impressed. (Pics attached so you can judge). We'll see how it hold up (like any product makes it that long with me :) )...but this may just get a place in my permanent collection

see for yourselves :)

I knew that was coming :lol - car was not washed just prepped using the Duragloss FSC spray -

BTW what do you guys use to clean the wheel wells?

Any good degreaser or APC scrub rinse, Then use a good dressing to leave them looking brand new. Your paint is flawless you should try the new Menzerna Glaze and Wax its supposed to be very good.
