Duragloss-Discussions with Dr Bailey

I've exchanged a number of emails with Dr. William Bailey the President of Duragloss. He confirmed the information posted by another member regarding the relative cleaning ability of 105,101 and 111:

111 = pure sealant rated 1 on cleaning ability

101 = rated about 4-5 on cleaning ability

105 = rated about 9-10 on cleaning ability

He further rated all three of these to have the same relative durability under similar enviromental conditions.

So, it seems to me that the best process for using the products would be to use 105 as an all in one and then layer it with 111, then maintain with Aqua Wax in-between full detailing. In my mind it seems that layering 105 wouldn't increase shine or durability as the cleaners in the product would remove the first layer when applying the second layer.

I'm in the process of converting to DG from Zaino and would appreciate any input from the DG gurus out there.

I can't believe this debate still exists!! :rofl

TigreMike was one of the people that got me interested in DG products when I first started detailing and he has never lied to me yet. He knows what he is talking about!! Thanks for all the help Mike!!

I hope I never have to lie to anyone. But anyhow, I am glad to have helped you find products that work for you!! :)

Cheers,

Mike

Do you mean TrackClaw products? If so, they are designed for racers primarily, and I've never actually seen those products on the shelves where I buy my DG from, so I've never used any of them. Most of the TC products are made for tire strengthening and for a slick finish (to aid in less wind resistance). Whether those work or not I really don't know. I don't take the G down the dragstrip or oval much. ;)

Some of you might know that DG sponsors racing events and/or race cars, mostly NASCAR types.
