duragloss 902 shampoo users.......

ive recently converted to duragloss shampoo...great stuff

after im done washing the car i rinse the bucket, mitt and brushes out as always and store them under the bench in my workshop

ive noticed after a day the damp residue in the bucket absolutley stinks...never had it with other brands

anyone else notice the stench?

i always put away 2 buckets stacked with my rinsed grit guard and grout sponges and they're left in the garage and i've yet to smell anything. I've gone weeks at a time without washing any cars to the point where some used, damp mf towels have developed mold but besides that, no smell from the bucket, sponges, or brushes which are all put away slightly damp.

^^ never noticed anything, and I have mitts, buckets, sponges etc all left. If you rinsed them out it surely isnt from the 902 is it? I always think it has a lovely fruity smell :)

I had a mitt go bad on me and then really stink up the garage, also with Duragloss soap. If you left the mitt in the bucket and its moist, maybe it got moldy? What type of mitt, sheepskin?

Love the soap. Hate the cherry smell. I have not noticed stench you are referring to. I always rinse and empty my buckets, and store them upside down. I let the GS air dry, and then store it in a sealed rubbermaid containor.

The only thing I noticed that if I leave a little residue in a measuring cup it seems to dry to a gel and attract flies. I had some other soap (Mothers) and it just stayed a liquid.

What kind of mitts and brushes are you using. Thats likely the source of the foulness.

eurow lambs wool mitt...same as always , all i changed was the soap

its not a huge problem anyway

Wool has a tendency to smell after awhile. I've been using DG 903 for a couple years and it, nor any other soap has led to a smell. However, wool mitts can smell foul, and many of mine do when they are damp.

Enough of an issue to post a thread though. :xyxthumbs
