Durability of OPTIMUM CAR WAX

How does OPTIMUM CAR WAX stand-up durability wise against a products such as KLASSE, FOUR STAR UPP etc... Has anyone ever tested OCW against the elements or these other products?

I think OCW is still coming into it's own around these parts and as such significant time has not elasped to collect any data.

Also throw in the fact that many use it like a Quick Detailer (and apply it after each wash which around here has to be at least once a week if not more) so in that case there is no way of telling.

When I spoke to David at Optimum about OCW he said it should last about three months on the inside.

Lasty you'll have to find someone who uses it as a stand alone product. I myself use it either as a topper or base for other LSP's

from what i've read OCW is as durable as most other blended carnauba waxes-I suspect that regardless of beading charactaristics pure polymer sealants last longer

I've been using OCW for some time now - almost a year as a standalone product on my grey 03 GMC truck. Just off hand I'd say a minimum of six weeks on the wax. I rarely let it go more often than that before I re wax it. OCW is just too easy to use! Here's some photos at six weeks.

I have had Klasse Twins on a work truck for 6 months..not show car quality but it did last. I have never been able to get that out of a carnauba.

I got a full three months beading, slickness and great shine using OCW over Clearkote's RMG on a gold Lexus SC430. Garaged at night, parked in the full sun during the day. I have enough confidence in it that I have been using it as a stand alone LSP.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like it could go a while longer but I'm addicted to perfect beads which #845 gave me for 3 months easily before I stripped it.

With the QD ease of use I've just ordered some OCW. From all the raves here, I'm expecting a lot of it.

I know Optimum is more durable than Klasse. Can't coment on the others.

Optimum is much easier to use.

Are you serious about that statement? Maybe you mean the AIO step of Klasse?

OCW still beading well after 5 weeks on my car, outside 24/7, car hasn't been touched in 5 weeks:

Remember Optimum spray is not just carnauba wax, it has sealant polymers in it too, seems very durable to me plus it is so quick and easy to re-apply that it isn't even an issue.

Two cars I did at the beginning of this summer hadn't seen any care since, until I worked on them this past weekend. One is a daily driver that's garaged at night , the other is outside 24/7.

Both held up very well, were beading and the finishes felt smooth. I was truly impressed with this product .... and I'm a terminal cynic.

Cleanup was very easy of both vehicles and required a minimum of effort to prep them for winter.
